july

july has been a happy month for us.
warm weather, a new job, and lots of time with family and friends.


we had a fun 4th of july and were very patriotic in red shirts and blue jeans.


we only took a few pictures at the bbq before our battery died. those who know laura well won't be surprised this was one of the few. :)


laura's mtc companion, rachel, came and stayed with us for a weekend. it was fun to have her here.


the reason for this fun visit was for our friend allison's wedding!

background story -- allison and laura both served in kirtland ohio and it was actually because of allison that laura got a job at the mtc mailroom when she got home from her mission... and met austin. and... it was also through allison (via her brother peter, a high school friend of austin's) that austin got laura's phone number... to ask her out when he got back from new york (because he didn't want to get caught writing it down at work!). so allison is one of our favorites.

we've had a good summer so far and we're excited to spend more of it together and with family. but we won't be devastated when it's over because we're also excited for fall... and yet another season of byu football!
