We had a baby shower last Saturday. We managed to luck out and get a nice summer day in-between strong winds and rain. Breanna and Cheryl put together a very cute party that had everyone convinced they should do it professionally.

Breanna (and Cheryl aka Mom -- we assume) stayed up late the night before baking tasty treats and came early to make final preparations.
Cheryl helped execute Breanna's pink and pink and pink decorations.

This entry on the side of the house was much much cuter than walking down to the backyard via the carport on the other side.
Everything looked great.
Breanna's most time-consuming creation was the cake(s).
Cheryl set up a cute clothesline for baby clothes since we had a pretty good idea Laura would get a few outfits...
Frosting the cake...
Breanna made awesome cake pops (that's what we're calling them anyway) with the leftover cake trimmings and frosting. Austin liked them as much as or more than the actual cake.
Presents starting to accumulate on the bench.
Breanna had a great collection of cute vases and bottles and jars for flowers and treats.
What color did you think the flowers would be?
Austin's cousin Ella went straight for the swings after being a great helper.
This is going to be our baby's "blankie" :)
So many great decorations.
Ella was a great helper with the quilt too.
Putting the finishing touches on the cake!
Very cute. And very tasty.
Also very cute.
And very tasty.
It was great to see ward friends, work friends, and family/friends that live close.
There won't be any shortages of outfits for our baby girl to wear!
In fact, there were so many outfits that they had to stop hanging them on the clothesline!
It was a great party and very nice of Cheryl to help put it together just days before going into the MTC for the mission presidents' training with Scott aka Dad. She and Breanna did an awesome job and everyone loved it.
Thanks to everyone who helped and thanks to everyone who came!

seemed like the dream baby shower! It's stuff like this that makes us wish we lived closer so we could partake in all the excitement (and cake pops). so excited for you guys!
good job breanna and cheryl! wow, i wish we could have been there -- mainly for the cake pops ... okay, maybe not completely for the cake pops, but they would be a fringe benefit to celebrating baby with you guys. :) it all looked so lovely -- and doesn't getting little baby clothes make it just a little bit more real??
i can't get over how amazingly cute everything was! wish I could have been there - of course!
luck with the moving & "nesting" - enjoy!
