We've been meaning to do a post about Brooklyn's nursery for a while and decided we'd better do it before we move. The good news is that she is going to have her own room in our new apartment. The sad news is that we are going to miss this particular room and layout since we can't recreate it exactly!
Austin's mom sewed the blanket, crib skirt, and banner (Austin did pick the font...) and we love the crib we picked out. They'll all be going with us.
Our loveseat we bought at Ikea when we first got married found a new home in Brooklyn's room when we moved in this last summer. It is perfect and it's going with us as well.
This is Brooklyn's teddy bear that we got her for Christmas. He's coming too. And she's already in love with books -- maybe she'll be like Austin and be reading 18 months from now?
We can't wait for Brooklyn to get attached to her "blankie" that Austin's mom sewed and everyone at Laura's baby shower helped tie.
She has a cute little shelf of shoes and other accessories. The collection will only grow, so we'd better have another cute little shelf for her in the new room. Also, and we've said it before, but Austin's cousin Megan made those little aqua green booties by hand and they are extremely cute.
Headbands. Girls start accessorizing at a young age.
We are going to miss a big, bright window in the room and the matching window valence. Can't take that with us. :(
Most of Brooklyn's diapers get changed on-the-spot right now in our bedroom or the family room but we imagine this changing pad will get more use in her next room.
We are sad to leave Brooklyn's first room behind but glad we can take most of it with us. We'll miss the hardwood floor and the rug and the window and the dressers and shelves and cabinets, but she's going to have another great room at our new place. Don't worry -- we'll probably have plenty of photos on the way here in a few weeks. :)

I do love her room! It makes me happy. Does she have a window in her new room? Idea: if she doesn't, then put the valance up over a closet or under a cute wall shelf or something. The valance absolutely is going with you even if the window is not. Bre can put back up all the cute bright preschool room fabric stuff.
What I wrote was probably confusing -- we'll be taking the valance for sure -- but not the window. :)
Such a happy room! When is moving day? We are SOOO excited and can't wait to come and visit. We will be up in Seattle the last weekend of March for Comicon. I am just going for the break and not going to Comicon - just not my cup of tea. But this would be a great time to sneak over and visit if you are moved. Love, Jen
