november stuff

Yep. We're still way behind.

Brooklyn went to the doctor for her yearly checkup. She was nervous but she's doing great!

Despite all the evergreen trees up here, we do still get some pretty fall colors.

We miss being close to the river trail, so Laura took the kiddos one day when they were downtown. Evan loved seeing the ducks.

He's going to be a basketball gym rat like his daddy...

Laura and Brooklyn went to a play at the Seattle Children's Theatre based on the Elephant and Piggie books that we enjoy.

She went with her buddy James (and his mom) and they had a great time.

The kids enjoyed watching the guys blow the leaves.

Evan's first ice cream cone?

Oops.

Brooklyn wanted her hair fancy for the primary program.

Oops.

Step 1: dump books out of box. Step 2: climb in box and read books.

Thanksgiving morning we went to our favorite park -- the "farm park" near our home. We love the tall trees that greet us in the parking area.

Evan also was fascinated by the trees. Brooklyn must have been a little grumpy for some reason.

The tire swing was much more fun than it looks like here.

Gobble gobble. We were in charge of bringing a vegetable tray to Thanksgiving dinner with some of our friends.

Jon and Lindsey were able to join us -- we are happy to have them so close!

Family photo!

The kid table.

The grown-up table. It was a tasty meal and we had a fun time all together.

The day after Thanksgiving we started to get into Christmas mode.

Testing the lights out.

Checking the ornaments.

Putting the finishing touches on our tree.

Brooklyn had been nervous about reading How the Grinch Stole Christmas! after hearing the song on the Christmas Pandora station. But Daddy talked her into it and she ended up loving it.

Brooklyn gets a special tree in her room too...

...the one that has her ornaments and Mom and Dad's ornaments from when they were kids.

All set! Ready for December!
