last year when we started dating, we decided to make a list of activities we wanted to do together. some of these things ranged from going to a hockey game to making pizza together. one of the items on the list was to take pictures in a photobooth. there's something inherently cute and romantic about taking pictures together behind a curtain. but we decided it couldn't be one of those new digital photobooths where you pick your background and colors and what not. no, it had to be an old fashioned photobooth.
a few months later, when we had just gotten engaged, austin decided to see if he could find where we could find one. there were a few websites that were dedicated to the art of photobooth picture making that listed locations of vintage photobooths. and just as he suspected, there was one fairly close -- at the kmart in orem. so, not long after this discovery, we made a trip to kmart and took a set of photos! it was so much fun that we decided we should visit often and use them as part of our wedding decorations. it was a great idea... except every time we tried, the photobooth was closed for repairs. we soon forgot about our little photobooth and its magic little pictures it gives you for a dollar.
fast forward to last week. we had a gift card to kmart that we got through a rebate and decided to stop by and get a few items. then laura remembered the photobooth! we decided not to get our hopes up too much as it would probably be under repair, but we were told it was working just fine. so after our quick little shopping trip, we made another fun set of pictures. there is something very fun and nostalgic about these vintage photobooths -- don't settle for the lame ones at the mall!

Don't know your iMac's Photo Booth does the same thing, but my new MacBook Pro's Photo Book has three settings - single photo, movie clip and four photos, where it will take four quick photos in sequence, just like the old photo booths.
And, you can look at our family web site to see a 15-photo series from Braden (not done in sequence, but something I just threw together from photos he took late Saturday night at Lori's
