one of the days we had a picnic lunch up in provo canyon by the bridal veil falls trail. we walked up to the falls before lunch and enjoyed the cool water (it was a hot day!).

emily and david loved the waterfall so much they went back for seconds!

on sunday afternoon we went up to salt lake city to visit temple square.

we were happy that laura's dad could make the trip since he had to stay home last time. laura's brother perry couldn't make it but may come visit jon for a football game later in the fall. filling in for perry in the photo is laura's cousin jason who was hanging out with emily and david for the afternoon.

we helped jon move into his freshman dorm apartment mid-week. we're excited that we're still around (for now, anyway!) for his first year at byu.

our last day of work was on friday. austin finished up working at byu's publications & graphics studio and laura finished working at the mailroom. (austin was also still on-call at the mailroom.) since we didn't have any pictures of us working together when we were dating or engaged, and since this is the very place we first met and became friends, we decided we had better take a photo in the mailroom together. we have good memories of sorting letters together and talking about laura's recently completed mission. :)

fall is upon us, and this means it's time for the new taylor family tradition -- football. we went to braden's first game of the season, and his first game as a provo high bulldog (he's a freshman this year). after blocking the sun with our hands for the first 30 minutes of the game, we were rewarded with a really beautiful sunset.

we are definitely real fans because we wore green to the game. we probably won't paint our faces though.

I like the mailroom picture. :)
Ohh. How I love that sunset - my very favorite kind! We don't get those out here. Envious of your getting to go watch Braden - He looks so grown up! Glad you guys are so so supportive of him!
We love that we get to share some of your memories with you! Thanks for all your support of our family and especially Braden in his activities! We really appreciate and love you!
