austin's dad surprised everyone by flying jenna and her little baby carter out to utah for a last-minute trip (he found a super great deal on a jetblue 10th birthday special).

carter is at that right age (6-7 months) where he's fun to play with. he can sit up on his own and is much more interactive than the last time we saw him.

even though austin may not be his favorite uncle (braden repeatedly makes this claim), carter enjoyed playing with him.

carter was fascinated by the cats at austin's family's house.

also, laura's brother jon got his mission call! we were very curious where he would go. he will serve in the washington everett mission, spanish speaking. we're super excited for him and know he'll do a great job. he reports to the missionary training center at the end of may.

march madness! we were also super excited to watch the cougs win yesterday. austin went into work early so he could take an early and long lunch to come home and watch the game. two overtimes definitely tested our nerves, but it was great to see byu win an ncaa game after the past few years of bad luck. we also have our ncaa brackets filled out and have several different contests going on both sides of the family. laura is currently ahead of austin...
