another football season

fall in the taylor family has come to mean football. this is our third season watching braden, and we've invested in green shirts to wear to the games to cheer on the provo bulldogs (austin's alma mater).

braden was one of the team captains this year and one of the more experienced players on the team as this is his fourth year playing football. this picture is quite the contrast to the mental image that family members might have remembering an undersized seventh grader crawling into the huddle with bigger and taller eighth graders.

braden is a nice kid but he sure looks intimidating in his football gear!

about halfway through the season, the varsity coach told braden he was one of a few sophomores that would get to dress for varsity games on friday nights. although braden didn't get any playing time, it shows that the coaches are already looking ahead for next year's team.

the first few games of the season are usually hot and sunny, while the last few require warmer clothes -- compare and contrast this picture with the first one in the post!

we love watching braden and his team and we're happy we're close enough to be big fans!

we've also enjoyed watching our cougies -- well most of the time, anyway, as they've been a little harder to watch this year. we've been spoiled with four really great seasons before this, so we're keeping a down season in perspective. we're definitely not fair-weather fans -- we got soaked walking to the game last week!
