We did a simple, unscientific poll of our immediate family and grandparents to get their take on what they think our baby will be. The votes were split nearly 60/40 for a boy (the first set of bar graphs above). What was interesting to us was the difference in votes between the two sides of the family. Over 75 percent of Laura's side of the family -- which already has two girl grandbabies thanks to Mary and Chase -- thinks we'll be having a boy (second set above). In contrast, Austin's side of the family -- where Jenna and Ty are expecting their second boy -- seemed to think we'll have a girl (third set above).
The results of our blog vote is to the right of the page: nearly 2:1 for a boy.
And... not only are the votes in, but the result is already in as well. The baby is healthy and right on track, which was the most important part of our visit this morning. Stay tuned tomorrow morning for the exciting part after we share the news with family tonight! :)
