One of the things we had planned was a trip to the Phoenix Zoo together.
We saw lions...
...and tigers...
...and bears -- oh my! Phoenix didn't have a polar bear (imagine that), so we brought one.
Even though Brooklyn is too little to love the zoo like she will soon...
...she still had a good time and was a really good sport.
Carter is at a perfect age to enjoy the zoo...
...and he enjoyed seeing all the real animals with his grandpa and grandma and parents.
But he didn't love riding the fake animals with his uncle Braden.
The zoo was the perfect place to put Austin's telephoto lens to work.
We got some fun photos of some of the animals.
How many years before Brooklyn insists on wearing clothes in this pattern?
We wonder if giraffes will be her favorite thanks to her little stuffed buddy that helps her sleep.

A trip to the zoo should be an annual thing. Hope we can get Brooklyn there next year and the year after that and so on. Thanks for this post!
