mother's day/brooklyn stuff/etc

Brooklyn has been loving her kitchen stuff lately. She loves to set places -- sometimes she gets really creative with the arrangements!

The weather is getting nice up here and there's a new section of the river trail that goes right behind our apartment. B loves to collect rocks.

It has been great to get out a bit and enjoy the fresh air.

Did we mention it has been nice up here? (Hint: come visit ASAP)

The only thing better than blowing bubbles or blowing dandelion seeds is being able to do both in one afternoon.

"Ducks! Time for your lunch!"

We don't know if it was intentional or not, but Brooklyn drew a pretty cute fish.

B has been practicing her big sister skills.

And the aforementioned fondness for her kitchen toys has made her a pretty good helper in Mommy and Daddy's kitchen too.

Brooklyn's hair was getting a little scraggly in the back so we decided to give her a tiny little trim. Her hair is very fine so we haven't had it cut apart from a little bangs mishap about 18 months ago. We'll say this is her first haircut.

Snip snip snip.

Daniel Tiger makes haircuts a lot more fun.

Austin got up early to make breakfast on Mother's Day. Yummy.

We love Mommy!

Did we mention she likes to pick up rocks on the river trail?

"Hi Breanna, what are you doing right now?" She misses her buddy.

Our belated anniversary present to each other was tickets we got a few months ago to see one of our favorite bands. It's not often we get to go to things like this together, so it was a special treat.

They put on a wonderful show. Austin isn't easy to please and he immediately said it was one of the five best concerts he's been too, "maybe even top three." Each of the three band members are stellar musicians, and they're even better together. It was a lot of fun.

Laura at 37 weeks -- our little guy is gonna be here any day now!

B has been enjoying her Play-doh and has done a good job not getting it all over the carpet or furniture (knock on wood).

Out for a walk on the river trail.

She's such a big girl now! What happened to our little toddler?

Mmmmm. Brownies.

I liked setting the table as a little girl, too. I'm told I was doing it at 3, so Brooklyn has me beat! Looks like you're having a lot of fun. Can't wait for the baby!
