The Easter Bunny visits us on Saturday morning -- Brooklyn was very excited to see the surprises!
Someone has a sweet tooth just like her mommy.
She liked all the eggs -- especially the pink ones.
Later in the day we went to the easter egg hunt our church did at a nearby school.
Brooklyn was excited to see her buddies and get more eggs. The ratio of pink eggs to other colors had to be at least 2:1. Sometimes she'd just leave an egg if it wasn't pink!
Our anniversary was later in the month and we decided to go as a family to paint some plates for grandmas for Mother's Day. Our first date was to paint bowls at a similar place in Provo!
B did a wonderful job with her abstract art.
Here's what the finished product looked like! (a week later after firing)
We had gone out for a date night just the two of us the night before, so we decided to make pizza for dinner on our anniversary. Pizza number one was a pepperoni alfredo -- very tasty! We decided to wait on pizza number two.
The day after our anniversary is Laura's birthday. Austin decided to try and color coordinate everything with some of the presents she wanted.
As has become tradition, we did birthday balloons all over -- care to guess who was most excited about that?
Speaking of birthday surprises that Brooklyn was excited about -- notice what movie she and Daddy got for Laura...
For lunch we made that pizza number two we mentioned earlier. Proscuitto, goat cheese, sundried tomato, and caramelized onion. Between that and the alfredo pepperoni, probably one of the better sets of pizza we've made.
Austin made dinner with a little help from Brooklyn.
We had grilled cheese sandwiches -- one with gouda, one with fontina, one with cheddar -- and tasty tomato bisque soup that Austin would love to have claimed to have made himself (thanks Panera Bread from the fresh section at Target). The red plate only comes out on birthdays :)
B loves her birthday buddy!
Austin also made a spectacular birthday cake...
...with a little help from Coldstone. It was a tasty gift that kept giving the rest of the week, and it was only the small size! :)
