jon's wedding

Yes, we are still very behind on our blog. After our Utah trip in July, we got to take a quick break at home and then headed down the very next weekend to spend a quick couple days in the Portland area for Jon and Lindsey's wedding!

Mary and Chase and their girls came up from the San Francisco area -- Brooklyn was very excited to see her cousins!

Daniel Tiger did a great job distracting them when we needed to get ready the morning of the wedding.

We thought Evan looked rather dapper for the occassion.

Emily and David did a spectacular job watching the kids during the wedding ceremony.

Brooklyn was very excited to see the temple. It was a beautiful day for a wedding.

Grandma and Grandpa Fitt came up to the wedding from San Francisco too -- they got to meet Evan for the first time.

We didn't get any photos of just the bride and groom (we'll use a newborn and a cranky big sister as our excuse) but they looked happy and wonderful together!

Laura was part of the bridesmaids group -- sisters, sisters-in-law, and a couple good friends.

We had all of Laura's immediate family there, which was great.

It was fun to see the brothers goof around a little bit!

We had a nice luncheon after the wedding and then a reception in the evening at Lindsey's church building.

Great-Grandpa Fitt with our little Evan guy :)

We had a great time being part of Jon and Lindsey's big day -- it was fun to be there as a family -- both the four of us and our bigger family, which we were glad to officially add to!

We went to church the next morning and then had lunch together at the hotel before all going our separate ways. Evan was a big hit with Livia...

...and Jane. Good practice for these girls since they had a little sister on the way!

Evan also enjoyed spending some time with Perry...

...and Emily, and anyone who could get their hands on him -- he was definitely Mr. Popular.

We had a great little trip and we were very glad we were able to all go be part of Jon and Lindsey's wedding. Their ceremony at the temple was beautiful and gave us a nice reminder of our own special day six and a half years ago. We enjoyed spending time with family -- it's the one thing we miss most when we get home to Washington. We are excited for Jon and Lindsey -- they will be very happy together.
