Yes, we're still playing catch-up. October was a fun month. Since summer goes well into September up here and November seems to have been kinda gray and rainy, October was our autumn month of crisp weather and changing colors.
One of the highlights of October was a soccer class we signed Brooklyn up for -- we may have mentioned this in an earlier post.
She learned how to kick the ball and not use her hands.
Her favorite part was kicking the ball in the goal at the end of class.
She's bound to be the next Mia Hamm or Alex Morgan.
Her second favorite part of soccer was when we would stay and go to the playground. :)
This little guy was a very patient spectator with Mommy.
October saw the leaves change and start to fall, along with raindrops.
Yum.
Sure, it's no Provo Canyon or tree-lined street in Ohio (which is what the two of us typically hold up as the golden standard for fall colors), but we did seem to notice better fall colors this year.
B and Evan still play (and read) nicely together.
One night Laura got up in the middle of the night to discover that a cute little person had made a bed in our closet!
Speaking of cute little people...
Here's Evan modeling a vintage sweater.
If he's even half this cute and stylin' in 20 years, look out ladies.
Evan's smiles are simply contagious.
We carved pumpkins at our friends' house for family night late in the month.
Laura helped B clean out the pumpkin...
...and Austin helped her with the face.
It's no Dad aka Scott aka Gpa Taylor creation, but we think it was a solid classic-looking jack'o'lantern.
Evan just hung out on the floor during the pumpkin carving. Austin noted that in about 15-16 years, Evan would be flattered with this much attention from his sister's friends. ;)
Someone has started writing her name! Pretty darn cute.
