august and september stuff

Catching up on our blog again! Someone is really getting good at writing.

Which is more over-the-top sugary, the Candy Land board or Brooklyn's super-accessorized outfit? :D

Brooklyn has been loving to draw and color. Laura helped with some of these, but Brooklyn did all the coloring herself.

Uh oh... mommy/daughter trip to Charming Charlies!

This is one of Brooklyn's first figure/landscape drawings all by herself.

Evan keeps us busy -- even his mischevious face is adorable!

At the park!

Austin is pretty impressed with Brooklyn's typographic compositions.

Brooklyn wrote a letter to Princess Sofia that she was pretty excited about.

First day of this year's co-op preschool! Our little girl is growing up too fast...

We started to get some rain in early September. The kids loved splashing in puddles.

Laura's uncle Harvey took us to dinner on a visit to Washington and British Columbia -- we had a fun time with him and Marilyn!

September means something important for the Taylor family... BYU football!

For Labor Day we went into Seattle for a Mariners game. It was nice weather and the kids really enjoyed it.

Evan spent most of the game pointing at the airplanes flying over Safeco Field every couple minutes en route to the airport. "Ah-pay? Ah-pay?" Super cute.

Speaking of super cute...

Brooklyn tried curlers in her hair after bath time...

...pretty cute, right? :)

We love watching these two play together.

Even though we were just in Utah for the reunion and to see uncle Braden, Austin made a quick weekend trip back. Why?

Surprised? Austin had a great time at the BYU-Boise State game with his dad and Braden. And the thrilling finish made it all that much more worth the trip!

Flying back to Seattle is always a treat -- can't beat the views of the Cascade volcanoes. Here's Rainier.

Fall is coming!

Brooklyn has been loving to write. We often find the word "PLOAK" -- and we have no clue what it means.

"Fu-bah? Fu-bah?" This kid is ready to take the field. He asks to watch football or for Mommy or Daddy to draw him a football almost as much as he asks to watch airplanes on YouTube.

Brooklyn's birthday was coming up so we figured it was time to get our four-year-old-to-be out of a modified crib. We wanted one last look at our little girl's bedroom before we put in yet another reminder that she's growing up!

Poor Evan guy had been in a pack-n-play for way too long!

Aw! We put it up the night before her birthday so she could wake up as a four-year-old in a brand new bed. :)

Loving the curlers/curls, drawing & coloring (all I can say is WOW), and general cuteness!
