basketball ballerina

Brooklyn's favorite new "toy" is Austin's Spalding TF-1000 indoor basketball. Daddy approves -- maybe there's another point guard in the family.

She has started pointing to things. She loves pointing to her banner with her name/letters on it in her room as we read it out to her. She will often say "oh-oh" when we get to the two 'O's in her name.

We thought this photo was fitting since she looked like a ballerina. (Thanks to Austin's aunt Susan for the outfit)

She doesn't know what to do with the ballet slippers yet so we'll hold off on lessons for now.

But who says ballerinas can't play basketball?

On an unrelated note, who knew handprints on stainless steel appliances could look so darn cute?

Cute, cute! And spelling already? Before you know it she'll have Freight Train memorized and be reciting the Star Spangled Banner...
