catching up

Before we get to blogging Brooklyn's birthday, we thought we'd fill in the gaps a little bit between our last big post and her birthday. The seasons are starting to change -- it's BYU football season and we have enjoyed watching the games. Haven't enjoyed losing two of them by a few points and a few inches though!

We finally got around to giving Brooklyn a haircut -- just a couple snips -- and it turned out okay given the fact neither of us are experts when it comes to toddler hairstyles... luckily haircuts aren't permanent!

She liked finding the leaves that are starting to fall from the trees.

Brooklyn and Daddy waiting to meet some friends for pizza.

Austin's cousin Connor stayed with us for four or five days to complete some training (fire/rescue) in a nearby town. Brooklyn was a little shy at first but ended up warming up to "Connor buddy!"

She has also discovered that blinds are fun to play with, so we're having to be more careful. We're quickly realizing that we're far from having our place kid-proofed.

Austin had some visitors at work the day before Brooklyn's birthday...

...and someone got to try big girl milk for the first time!

isn't connor a great "baby whisperer?" Bennett loved him.

Very fun to see pics at daddy's work. I haven't done that with my boys for a long time! Good reminder
