We're slowly but surely catching up on our blog. Here's some March stuff. Kicking the month off was Evan turning nine months old.
Around this time Evan started doing this really cute little scrunchy smiley face that pretty much cements the fact that he's a Taylor (we know it goes back at least two generations, maybe more).
We try to keep the kiddos busy during the day so that they get a good night's sleep. Sometimes this plan backfires and we end up with cranky kids who don't want to be woken up from their carseat naps. The moments right before that are pretty cute though.
Evan is well on his way to being one of the next great chefs -- that or a college job washing dishes at a restaurant. He loves playing with the kitchen in Brooklyn's room.
One of the Saturdays in March we went to a farm park that Laura and the kids had discovered earlier in the week.
The boys.
Swing time.
Brooklyn -- connoisseur of all things pink and girly -- rediscovered her tutu and leotard.
This adorableness is a sneak preview -- someone just might be taking ballet classes this summer :)
We've since purchased a pair of ballet slippers which will complete the look.
She's ready to star in Swan Lake at the Bolshoi Theatre.
Or drop 50 points at Madison Square Garden. You know, whatever she feels like.
We had some pretty amazing weather in March.
Evan absolutely loves being outside.
Even when the weather's not amazing, the view is. This was just a simple photo taken from the top of Austin's parking garage at work!
We've probably posted several photos very similar to this one already... they're too darn cute not to keep posting!
So... apparently we've driven our Volkswagen far enough to have traveled around the globe five times!
Cute and hungry.
Ditto.
Another thing we like to do at the kitchen table -- Brooklyn loves "projects."
Evan studying up on some college hoops.
Some of Brooklyn's favorite things include the color pink, princesses, dressing up, playing with her friends, and going for walks. Every once in a while, the stars align for the ultimate three-year-old girl afternoon.
You'll note we didn't mention mud in the things that Brooklyn loves. Nope.
She does love her "little guy" though.
Some of our friends have been buying houses over the past year or so. We bought a tent. (Austin is an advisor with the priests quorum/venture scout crew at church and needed it for a campout.)
Brooklyn and Evan love to "help" Dad play guitar whenever he gets one out to play.
We're pretty sure Brooklyn would be a fashion icon if she had more famous parents.
And if Evan didn't have such protective parents he'd probably be in a Baby Gap ad by now, right?
Brooklyn got an umbrella. It will come as no surprise that we let her pick it out. She's still kind of figuring out how to use it, but she was definitely content to stand under the roof of the porch, hold it out in the rain and hear the rain fall on it.
One morning we made pancakes... and completely by accident created the most awesome pancake rabbit ever.

Too much cuteness to mention, but especially loved the scrunchy smile, sweet ballerina close-up, and the bunny pancake.
