Now we're only one month behind! In early May we decided we were brave enough to make an Ikea trip. Evan's favorite thing we brought home were all the boxes.
We got Brooklyn her very own little chair -- it looks just like the one we got for Mommy in Evans room...
...that we had Evan sit in for his 11 month photo :)
Speaking of chairs and Ikea, a late birthday present for Laura was some seating for our front porch We got a couple chairs and tables so we can sit out there when it's nice. They're foldable and portable so we can take them to the back patio if we want.
Evan guy looks pretty cute in overalls.
He's not quite sure what to think about sitting on the couch with his sister.
Austin started a new job with a different design team at Microsoft in May. He's now back in the building he was in when he first started, which has a floor that has been completely renovated for the design teams.
We love the farm park!
Brooklyn showed renewed interest in letters and words -- we love when she arranges them on the refrigerator.
Chomp chomp!
This was big for Brooklyn -- she has typically been pretty scared of going down slides but she was feeling brave!
Mother's Day! Laura had some very eager present helpers.
Brooklyn loves her mommy.
So does this little guy.
Evan started playing with some of the shape block toys -- he was really getting into it.
Speaking of getting into things... Evan started walking around furniture a lot more and that meant lots of new adventures.
Sidewalk chalk!
Superhero day at preschool :)
Evan's been good about using his legs and standing up next to things for quite a while, so we knew it was only a matter of time before he would start walking. We were right. And once he started, he was basically running -- hence the blurry photo.
Brooklyn is getting a lot better at writing names :)
She loves her buddies!
No, Austin isn't pursuing a medical career -- he got blindsided by a pretty heavy case of strep throat. Luckily no one else in the family came down with it!
Won't you be my neighbor?
Brooklyn did the prayer and scripture in primary at church with just a little help on the scripture from Daddy. She loved talking into the microphone :)
We went to the mall up in Lynnwood to try the Cafe Rio up there (we'll stick with Chipotle here in Redmond and the Cafe Rio in Provo, thanks) and someone got to try using the candy machine.
Speaking of being spoiled, someone also got to have frozen yogurt with her friend Jax.
By the end of May it started getting warm enough that we got a little kiddie pool -- Brooklyn and Evan both had a blast.
Bananagrams! If you look closely you might recognize some names and words. Especially cute is Brooklyn's improvised 'V' to spell 'LOVE' in the top right.
We went to a kids' play place called Wiggle Works for an early celebration of Evan's birthday. It's kind of like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory without Willy Wonka or his chocolate.
Evan wasn't so sure about it at first.
Big Legos!
Crawling around :)
Evan had a blast -- he is growing up so fast!
