august visitors, part 1

Yes, we're still behind on our blog.

Back in August we had some visitors that we had been waiting to finally host -- Grandma and Grandpa Taylor! We'd been lucky to be able to visit them while they were serving their mission, but we were very excited they could finally come visit us in Washington!

The "guest suite" -- aka Brooklyn's room with an air mattress -- was a very popular hangout spot.

We were happy to have a bigger family for scriptures and prayers at night.

Brooklyn was very excited to show Grandma and Grandpa the river trail. Feeding ducks was definitely high on the list of things to do with them.

She loved hanging out with Grandpa...

...and they found more ducks!

Someone else was happy to see Grandma and Grandpa!

More walks -- this time at the "farm park." We were excited to show Grandma and Grandpa our beautiful green trees since they've been in Arizona for three years.

Project time with Grandma...

...stickers!

Brooklyn loves projects...

...and it turned out great!

Grandpa volunteered to cook his signature dish that he learned on his mission in Venezuela...

...arepas! ¡Muy tasty!

Evan had some smiles for Grandpa! This photo reminded us of this one from a couple years ago (halfway down).

Big sister :)

She has always been very sweet with her little brother.

We were very happy that Grandma got some good Evan time.

And Brooklyn time.

We went to visit Austin at work one of the days -- Brooklyn is getting very good at typing her name.

It was fun to see Austin mid-day since he had to work some of the days they were here.

And that night Austin and Scott got to catch a Mariners game. It was a really entertaining game with several home runs -- and the home team won!
