We're wrapping up April -- one of our favorite things this month has been watching Brooklyn learn to sit up. (thanks to Laura's friend Kristin for the cute hand-made shoes!)
Laura's brother Jon is serving a mission in Washington and we got special permission to see him and meet a family he's teaching in our area. Brooklyn loved watching him and playing with his name tag. Jon's two years are coming to an end next month, so we're excited to see him (and other family members) again soon!
It was Laura's birthday on Friday -- we both agree that birthdays are even more fun with cute little babies around!

They walked down to the outdoor mall -- only about a 10-minute walk away -- and daddy came straight from work.
One of Austin's favorite parts of the day is seeing Brooklyn when he is finished with work. We think she likes it too. :)
On Saturday we braved Ikea for a quick return and one-item pickup and then went to a park at the edge of Lake Washington. We kinda missed the window of beautiful sunshiny weather, but still enjoyed our little walk. We found a little burger restaurant there that we want to try next time. Come visit us and we'll take you!
It was a long day for Brooklyn in the car seat between driving and Ikea and the park, but she was a trooper!
We're excited about May -- we get to see lots of Taylors next week!
