easter 2013

The Easter Bunny came to our house the day before on Saturday and Brooklyn wasted no time finding eggs right when she woke up.

They were in her room...

...and all around the house.

She had a great time finding all the Easter eggs.

She also found some surprises -- someone got a little spoiled.

She was very excited about her new "ABC puppy."

After finding eggs around the house, we all went over to the park by City Hall for the Easter egg hunt the city was putting on. There were supposedly over 12,000 easter eggs... all gone in a matter of seconds! Some of the older kids brought pillowcases and trash bags to fill but Brooklyn was content with just one egg for each hand. :)

Brooklyn thought these balloons were pretty silly!

Then we were off to our third egg hunt put on by our church at a nearby school. Brooklyn ended up being mostly interested in a basketball that one of the bigger kids brought. Dad approves.

Afterwards the three of us went to a little park nearby and B tried out the swings and slides. She's getting a lot braver and had a lot of fun.

We went home and painted some easter eggs...

...and Tama ended up getting decorated too. Oops.

Sunday we went to church and Brooklyn wore a cute Easter dress...

...and got a cute photo with some of her buddies.

Speaking of buddies, we had a very tasty Easter dinner that evening with our friends the Sparks...

...and Brooklyn absolutely loved playing with Penny and Isla!
