We wanted to take a fun trip for our 5th anniversary and Laura's birthday, so we decided to head down to the Oregon Coast again since we had so much fun last year. This time we made a couple different stops. First on our list was Multnomah Falls outside of Portland.
With the two impressive waterfalls and the old bridge, the view looked like something straight out of Lord of the Rings or some other fantasy world.
We took the little path up to the bridge...
...and when we neared the top, we wanted to make sure Brooklyn was in her stroller...
...because that bridge definitely wasn't designed with toddlers' safety in mind!
She loved being on the bridge and feeling the mist from the waterfalls. She giggled the whole time.
The mist cooled us down but we decided to cool down a bit more with some ice cream.
We enjoyed seeing logging trucks on the highways -- something you don't see much of where we come from in Utah and Southern California!
Last time we were in Portland we stayed in a historic old hotel downtown -- this time we went for something more low-key and stayed in a fun retro-inspired place in the northwest district of the city.
We had a blast during our short stay in Portland -- we went to an awesome PB&J place for lunch (for example, one of the sandwiches was grilled peanut butter and jelly with goat cheese, honey, and bacon -- awesomeness) and then brought home Thai takeout (yummy) to eat on our patio (relaxing).

I am always jealous of anyone visiting Portland---one of my favorite destinations.
Multnomah Falls has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. So glad you guys got to enjoy it. Also, cool hotel!
