We all loved waking up to the view in Seaside.
The weather on Saturday looked a little more like it usually does up here in the Northwest, but there's something just as beautiful about it.
Family photo using the timer!
We took a beautiful drive down the 101 to Tillamook.
We took the self-guided factory tour and were fascinated to see the mix of automated machinery and people all working quickly to get awesome dairy products out of the factory for us all to enjoy.
Brooklyn enjoyed watching things work too.
Cheese!
Of course we had to eat at the on-site factory cafe! And what else would we get?!
Birthday girl!
We followed up our Tillamook grilled cheese adventure with some tasty Tillamook ice cream. Austin claimed it was the best cookies and cream he has ever had.
We had been waiting our whole trip for this number to pop up in the odometer and couldn't believe what time it happened! If only there had been a slightly cooler breeze!
We headed back to Seaside and wanted to head down the promenade and over to the beach one more time.
It was a tiny bit colder than it had been the day before.
Okay, maybe more than just a tiny bit.
But who needs warm beaches when you have big hugs?
We had a great weekend, anniversary, and birthday as a family on the coast (and in Oregon in general) -- it won't be the last time we visit!

looks like you guys had a blast! You guys are such a beautiful little family!
What was the inn you stayed at? we're always looking for places with great views!
and the Tillamook Cheese Factory is probably one of my favorite places in the world. They sell their ice cream everyone around here but I've only had it there. It makes it that much more delicious!
Jessica -- it's a place called Inn of the Four Winds -- it is further down the beach at Seaside and feels really low-key.
1. That view is beyond amazing!
2. Grilled cheese is the best.
3. The hug picture is so sweet. I may have said this before, but Austin is basically a professional photographer. :)
very beautiful in a cloudy sort of way. love the timer pic
