After a couple errands Friday in Portland we headed over to the coast that afternoon as quick as we could to take advantage of the beautiful weather.
We were excited to be at Seaside again and couldn't wait to see Brooklyn enjoy the beach like she did last time.
But someone didn't like putting her feet in the sand -- which has never been a problem before.
We made our way closer to the water, where the sand was a little more wet and compact. B finally got comfortable on her own.
And it didn't take long until she was having a blast.
We loved seeing her run around on the beach.
It was pretty much perfect weather...
...and B probably could have run around for hours if we'd have let her.
We loved watching tiny little waves come in on the sand...
...and running away from ones that were a tiny bit bigger.
Oops -- messy!
Last time we stayed at a nice little house-style rental several blocks from the beach -- this time we stayed at a cozy little inn owned by the same people located right on the beach at the end of the promenade -- what a view!
A quick photo of the two of us on April 26 -- happier and even more in love than we were on our special day five years prior. :)

Not that we would've crashed your anniversary trip, but still wish we could've been there, too. Our little guys haven't ever been to a beach---they'd probably either be scared and wailing or running straight into the water. Glad you all had fun! Happy 5th! Oh, and in that 2nd photo I see an expression that looks like what we call Nathan's "scrunchy face"---I love that look.
Wow! Has it been five years? We couldn't be happier to have such a great family including incredible daughter and son-in-laws. Thanks for sharing these photos! We love you!
My favorite pic is the one of Laura and Brooklyn with their feet in the waves.
more amazing photos, of course.
haha - got to love when suddenly kids are scared of something they loved before, like Brooklyn & the sand
