Super adorable matching shirts from Grandma and Grandpa Taylor! Mackenzie started to be awake and look around a lot more in August.
Daddy got a new guitar. If it looks familiar it's because he had one almost exactly like it that he loved but had to trade in because it weighed as much as a small cow. This one is much lighter :)
Family outing to get frozen yogurt -- Brooklyn was good at sharing her strawberry flavor!
We said Mackenzie was awake and alert a lot more, but she was still our sleepy bug.
Even though we have a lot of girl clothes from Brooklyn, she's got some new outfits that are very cute. Brooklyn helped pick this one out.
When your mommy and daddy have been awake all hours of the night with your baby sister, sometimes you get McDonalds for dinner out on the back deck.
Bath time... in the tub! She was pretty chill about it at first...
...but maybe wasn't super happy about it by the end.
Brooklyn loves to be a big sister helper. Mackenzie's not so sure about it sometimes.
Because Austin has a really generous paternity leave through work, we brainstormed some ideas of good one-on-one activities for Daddy and Mommy to do with each of the kiddos. One of the things on this list was for Daddy to take Brooklyn to see her very first movie in a movie theater -- Finding Dory! The scariest part was a Tim Burton movie trailer -- what was that doing there?! Aside from that she loved the movie and we had a great time.
Kenzie and Mommy enjoying nice summer weather!
One of the things on the Mommy-Brooklyn activity list was to go on a picnic.
Needless to say, someone was pretty thrilled about it.
We went to the fair!
The kiddos were very excited to see all the animals and rides.
Llama!
We saw all kinds of farm animals -- birds, pigs, sheep, cows...
...yeehaw! Austin remarked that his cattle-ranching Taylor grandpas would be very proud of this girl saddled up and ready to ride at the beef cattle section of the fair.
Toy tractors!
Petting zoo! Evan was adorable with all the small and/or kid-friendly animals.
Evan had been talking for days about the ferris wheel -- there were actually two, but he was too short to go on either one :(
Haystack maze!
Since the ferris wheels were a no go, Evan picked to go on this airplane ride. He loved it.
Silly guy.
Brooklyn's turn!
It was a hot day at the fair and we stayed several hours longer than we thought we would -- we all felt about this way after we were done!
Uh oh.
Cutie pie!
We have been playing a lot of Legos at the Taylor home. We like the Star Wars and space shuttle sets, but we also like playing with the basic blocks and using our imagination!
Mackenzie-Daddy time :)
Making faces!
Yellow curry chicken pizza! (inspired by the butter chicken pizza Braden made when they were here)
He still loves to swing!
By the end of August we started getting some tiny smiles from our Kenzie bug... super cute!
