We were really excited to take our summer trip to Arizona to spend time with Austin's side of the family -- basically the last time getting all the Taylor kids together before Braden goes on a mission to New Zealand.
It started with a 6am flight... that we barely made because the airport was extremely busy. Between the early start to the morning and the stress of the nearly-missed flight, we were exhausted -- even Brooklyn couldn't stay awake!
But when we got to Phoenix she was ready to go. Thank goodness for Skype -- Brooklyn was happy and excited to see Grandma and Grandpa. We'd been talking for the week or two prior about "airplane ride" to go see "grandma grandpa" and she couldn't wait.
She was also excited to see her Jensen cousins...
...they were super cute together.
And of course one of the first things Brooklyn asked about was "Santa book" -- she always asks Grandma to read it on Skype. This time it was Jenna's turn!
It was very hot -- 100+ degree temperatures -- and there was a little kid pool on the patio all ready to go. Brooklyn wasn't so sure...
...but finally got in.
She kinda just stood there for a while...
...and still wasn't so sure...
...but was having fun with cousins in no time.
After swimming we tried the sprinkler -- it was fun having a back yard to play in!
We had a great first day with family. Jenna and her boys were there already, and Breanna was already there for the summer as well. Braden and his friend Keri got in later in the evening. We caught up on birthday presents and played a fun game called Wits and Wagers when the kids were in bed.
