Arizona trip, part 2

A last-minute addition to our trip itinerary was a visit to the temple in Mesa -- Braden was ready to go to the temple for the first time and got all the interviews with church leaders done just in time for us to all be there for his big day.

We loved the classical architecture of the Mesa Temple and the large water pools -- very different from the ones we've been to more often in Utah and other places.

Breanna and Keri watched the kids for us while the rest of us spent time in the temple with Braden -- Brooklyn was a good girl and we were excited to see her afterwards.

We are grateful for families and temples -- and grateful we can be together forever!

We're grateful this goofy guy is putting the next two years towards teaching the gospel!

Brooklyn loved spending time with Breanna. They were good buddies the whole week.

It was a treat to spend so much time with Jenna and the boys -- New Jersey is just so far away!

Like we said... goofy. :)

Three of the cutest kids you'll ever see. B could easily pass for their little sister.

We were happy to be at the temple together -- and happy we had a babysitter so the two of us could go together! Sometimes we take turns up here in Washington but it was great to be there together.

B loved playing with Jenna too -- she always knows how to make Brooklyn laugh.

We love all the amazing and beautiful girls in our family!

After the temple we went to a place nearby that Austin's parents really like -- an authentic Hawaiian shaved ice shop.

We had high expectations based on how they talked about it -- and they were exceeded! We want to go back next time.

Then we went for dinner at another local favorite called Chino Bandido -- a Chinese-inspired Mexican place that has been featured on one of our favorite Food Network shows: Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Again the taste was above expectations! Very yummy.
