B loves when Daddy plays guitar...
...so we couldn't resist getting her one of her own.
She loves her letters and fishies and duckies in the bath...
...and has recently started to love running around in her "duckie towel" afterwards -- once Austin took it and hung it back up in the bathroom and she started to bawl (apparently it was past someone's bedtime).
She found "matching game" in the General Conference edition of the Ensign -- somehow we found a matching game of prophets and apostles on lds.org a while back that we've entertained her with a few times (she likes hearing the songs and the sound effects) and she recognized the faces right away. Too smart.
We went to a children's museum in nearby Bellevue one afternoon and had a great time. Brooklyn fell in love with this "bicycle."
But then she really fell in love with the semi truck cab. Let's just say she didn't leave quietly. We're hoping it means she's eager to get behind the wheel of an automobile and not that she's destined for a career in cross-country shipping.
The museum is adjacent to a shopping mall and we saw someone's favorite treat as we were leaving.
B has recently taken to arranging things.
She likes lots of colors...
...and neat lines. Combine that with her love of letters and it sounds like the family has another designer on its way. :)
Cool cars and trucks aren't just for boys! We got these for her at Ikea a while back and they are definitely in her top five or ten of favorite toys.
Feeding ducks on the river trail...
...and having fun with her buddy Kate.
Speaking of buddies, Brooklyn's friend James had a birthday party.
Lots of tasty treats -- and Brooklyn isn't the only one into cars.
Someone was so excited about her buddy's birthday that she wanted to help him open presents. :)
So that's why she was being so quiet after she woke up from her nap. That's what we get for leaving the diaper drawer next to her crib open.
We checked out a little lakeside beach a few days ago -- we had a fun time and we'll have to go back again.

So much cuteness...
And here's a truck recommendation: if you're at Toys R Us check out an end cap in the area where they have toddler toys and you might find the Tonka Chuck classic series. There's a tow truck with a hook on it and all the other vehicles have a little groove in the front so they can be towed. The tow truck is a fave in our collection.
Fun update!
I love the arranging things. James does that, too.
The pic of B and Kate is so pretty and happy. They are little fashionistas. ;)
So glad you guys were there for James's birthday!
